Volunteer*
Definition: an adult (18+) who assists in any activity, teaches, accompanies on off-site or overnight trips or has contact with Pathfinders and is not leader as defined in the SECC Policies.
Requirements:
- Submit a primary screening application, SECC Application for Children & Youth Volunteer Worker Position, to the local church office. This form only needs to be submitted one time and on file at the church where volunteering.
- Submit a Background Check Authorization, mark volunteer, to Youth Ministries Department biannually.
Volunteer/Driver*
Definition: an adult (21+) who uses their personal or rents a vehicle to drive Pathfinders to off-site trips.
Requirements:
- Submit a primary screening application, SECC Application for Children & Youth Volunteer Worker Position, to the local church office. This form only needs to be submitted one time and on file at the church where volunteering.
- Submit a Background Check Authorization, mark volunteer/driver, to Youth Ministries Department biannually.
- Review & the SECC Youth Ministries Sexual Misconduct Policy.
- Reveiw the Personal Vehicle Usage Guidelines as outlined by Risk Management.
*The law does not allow criminal background screening on anyone under age 18. Teenage volunteers need to be in the presence of an adult.
