Leaders

Definition: anyone holding a leadership position in the club as defined in the Leadership portion of the SECC Policies or other positions as defined by the local club/church and is 18 years or older

Requirements:

1. Submit an application, SECC Pathfinder & Staff Registration/Application, to Youth Ministries Department annually.
2. Submit a Background Check Authorization to Youth Ministries Department biannually, if 18+. Must accompany the SECC Pathfinder & Staff Registration/Application to be accepted.
3. Submit a primary screening application, SECC Application for Children & Youth Volunteer Worker Position, to the local church office. This form only needs to be submitted one time and on file at the church where volunteering.
4. Review Sexual Misconduct & the SECC Youth Ministries Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Church Board Pathfinder Representation

As stated in the SDA Church Manual and NAD Pathfinder Manual, the Pathfinder Director will be a member of the local Church Board.  It is an important that the Pathfinder Director be an active member of the Board and work to serve the needs of both the church and the Pathfinder club.
